“ITR has significantly changed my life, and I can’t recommend them enough for pelvic floor physical therapy. From my first intake call with Amy, I knew this was a special practice. She was so empathetic, detailed, and thoughtful about pairing me with the right therapist to treat my symptoms. Sure enough, Amy’s recommendation to pair me with Ellicia has been a consistent blessing. Ellicia is so insightful, kind, comforting, thorough, and just an all-around delight to be treated by.”

Frequently Asked Questions

How does pelvic floor physical therapy help men?

Pelvic floor physical therapy addresses the muscles, nerves, and connective tissues in the pelvic region. For men, this can mean relief from chronic pelvic pain, improved bladder and bowel control after surgery, better sexual function, and reduced discomfort from conditions like chronic prostatitis or pelvic pain syndrome. Through manual therapy, targeted exercises, and lifestyle guidance, we help restore normal pelvic floor function.

Do you accept insurance?

ITR Physical Therapy is an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies, which allows us to focus exclusively on quality treatment and spend more individual time with you during each session. If you have PPO insurance, your insurance company will typically reimburse 60-80% of the cost. We provide detailed billing statements (superbills) with the necessary ICD-10 and CPT codes to make submitting for reimbursement as easy as possible.

What should I expect during my first visit?

Your first visit will include a comprehensive evaluation where your physical therapist will take the time to listen to your concerns, review your medical history, and assess your pelvic floor function, posture, and movement patterns. Each session lasts approximately one hour, and you’ll receive personalized attention in a private, respectful environment. Together, you’ll create a treatment plan tailored to your goals.

Is pelvic floor therapy uncomfortable or invasive?

We understand that pelvic health issues can feel private and sensitive. Our team approaches every patient with compassion and respect, and we’ll never do anything without your consent. Treatment techniques vary based on your needs and may include external manual therapy, postural training, and therapeutic exercises. Internal work is only done when appropriate and with your full understanding and permission.
